NICHOLAS CADE GRAHAM
Independent filmmaker Nicholas Cade Graham is currently based out of Chicago after pursuing his MFA in Cinema Directing at Columbia College Chicago. While attending school he had stints in New York working in the Art Department for the Warner Brother's film Joker (2019). Previous to that he worked in Europe as a director and cinematographer at the Cinemadamare Film Festival (Italy), competing in a fast paced film competition while collaborating with many international filmmakers. Earlier that year Nicholas gained experience on the business side of filmmaking while interning for Lionsgate's International Sales and Distribution team at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival. His first professional film experience came in 2017 as a 2nd AC/Production Assistant for the independent feature Following Five but Preceding Seven by Hostage Films. Before transitioning into filmmaking Nicholas was an Assistant Football Coach and Video Coordinator at the University of New Haven.
Nicholas' work usually looms out of dark corners addressing the themes of survival, family, and love. His extensive travel experience has given him a broad perspective and understanding to work with individuals from different cultures and backgrounds. He values the on set experience and prefers to work on set in any capacity.
Recently Nicholas has developed a passion for film photography. Encompassed by the process and imagery, Nicholas spends his time researching and collecting different cameras and film stocks.
